Oprah Winfrey Reveals A BIG FAMILY SECRET
On Saturday we learned that Oprah Winfrey would be revealing a SHOCKING family secret on today’s episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show and right now we learn what that secret is. There was much speculation over the weekend as to what Oprah‘s secret could be and now the cat is out of the bag. The reveal was/will be made on today’s ep of The Oprah Winfrey Show (which may not yet have aired in your part of the country) so avert your eyes if you’d like to be surprised while watching the show itself.
Ta Da! It turns out that Oprah discovered that she has a half-sister that she never knew she had! And, in celebration of her finding a new sister, Oprah decided to give away sisters to EVERYONE IN HER AUDIENCE TODAY!
OK … so Oprah didn’t really give away sisters on her show today … but she did find a new sister for herself and I couldn’t be happier. I bet it’s strange to meet a person after so many years and discover that you are family. Finding a sister isn’t as significant as finding a new cousin, siblings share a bond that is unmatched among family members. I suspect it’s been quite a happy couple of months for Oprah‘s sister as well … especially since she learned that her sister is one of the richest people in the world. It’s a Happy Day for the Oprah Winfrey family … this is really great news, yeah?

Oprah’s Secret Revealed
What is Oprah’s secret? Monday the answer was revealed when Patricia and Oprah were reunited on the Oprah Winfrey show. A video was shown of Oprah taking a trip with her longtime partner Steadman Graham to Milwaukee during Thanksgiving of 2010 to meet Patricia for the first time in her life.
Patricia who was adopted as a child began to suspect that Oprah might be her sister when she watched a televised interview with Vernita Lee. Patricia saw a resemblance in the information revealed during the interview with Lee to what details she had of her birth family.
DNA test results confirmed that Oprah and Patricia were sisters that led to Oprah’s asking her mother about a secret sister. The question of Oprah’s secret has now been answered in the form of a half-sister.
